Last Saturday, my daddy and I went to a spot near the Sarasota Int. Airport where we like to watch the planes coming and going.  There’s an empty lot just across the road from one of the runways that’s close enough to the planes to take good pictures of them.  It is still amazing to hear their powerful engines as they fly so close overhead.  The sky was bright, clear, and blue, giving an nice background for the planes.

There was a World War II plane visiting the airport for several days that you can pay to see up close and take rides in.  It’s the only B-29 Superfortress bomber (nicknamed “Fifi”)  in the world that is still flying today.   It is not every day that you get to see neat pieces of history like that!  It’s the big silver plane in the image below. (It looks far away because it was taken through a fence.)

This C-45 Expeditor (“Bucket of Bolts”) also came with the other B-29 and we got to see it flying around!
