These images were taken at Myakka River State Park in Sarasota, Fl. The park is a excellent place to watch birds and other wildlife. We were blessed to see several white tailed deer early in the morning. Although many people think of beaches when they think of Florida, my favorite part is the wetlands, meadows, and pine and palmetto scrub forests found at places like this park.
“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11

These images are of a great blue heron:
These images are of a little blue heron searching for and finding things to eat. The little speck in its beak in one of the images is something that it’s picked up with the tip of its beak and is now tossing back into its mouth to eat it. It’s neat when motion like that is frozen and you can see things happening that happen too fast in real life to be able to observe them.
