This was my first time to go to the Airfest at MacDill Air Force Base and it was incredible. It is amazing and thrilling to see the Thunderbirds fly so close together as they put on their performance. I snapped a lot of images that day (more than 700) but here are some of my favorites. I believe that this plane is a B-52 Stratofortress, a bomber, and its size is incredible when you get up close to it.
The dedication, precision, and elimination of distraction necessary to fly these trick planes, especially when more than one are so close together, reminds me of the way that we as Christians need to guard our hearts from anything in our lives that would hinder us from living as good, obedient, and effective soldiers for Jesus Christ.
